Headed up by the lovely Lorna Ponti, a lady who herself fought a successful battle against breast cancer, Lunch4Life is a superb organisation. Lorna, from Virginia Water, is a marvel for raising vitally-needed money for deserving charities, even in the current economic climate. 

Her latest fundraising evening at the Wentworth Golf Club earlier this year raised £70,000, which she donated equally to Ashford and St Peter’s Breast Cancer unit and the Prostate Cancer Charity (PCC). I was delighted to receive one of those cheques on behalf of the PCC and to thank Lorna, Ann Tanner and all the wonderful ladies of Lunch4life for their brilliant fundraising achievement.
